Cyprus has been known for its quality olive oil since ancient times. Olive oil was widespread for food and for religious purposes and that is why it was widespread in trade with the surrounding countries in amphorae. The province of Larnaca, in which our farm is located, is considered to be one of the most important production areas of Cyprus. The name Marova appears on maps of Ortelius and Deutecum of 1573, where now the current name is Maroni.
In 1750, the English traveller Alexander Drummond made a vivid report on the route from Kiti to Maroni about the beautiful gardens of the area, covered with trees such as carobs, sycamores and olives. Wanting to highlight the history, we decided to baptize our best and highest quality olive oil with the name Marova.
Of course, it is produced with modern procedures, with the most important element being the selection of olive trees, the fruit is carefully collected so as to experience the least possible inconvenience and in a short period of time it is transported to the olive press to give us its best oil.
